Margarita’s Carrot
Margarita is a lovely girl with a heart full of kindness and a unique background, being half-English and half-Italian. Her home was always filled with warmth, especially during Christmas time, when excitement filled the air. Just when she was starting to feel a little disappointed, her mother remembered, “Wait! We have some carrots stored in the small cellar.” Margarita’s eyes brightened again, and she quickly ran down to the cellar to grab one. “Thank you, Mom, for remembering the carrots!” she said excitedly before rushing out the door to meet Santa.
Luckily, when she arrived, Santa was still there, his sleigh brimming with a few gifts. Margarita approached him with a big smile and asked, “Santa, can I feed your lovely deer?” Santa chuckled warmly and replied, “Yes, of course!” Margarita joyfully fed the reindeer, her heart full of happiness, and Santa, too, seemed pleased with her kindness.
After feeding the deer, Santa handed Margarita her special Christmas gift and asked if she’d like handmade Christmas gifts for Mom and Dad. Overjoyed, she gratefully accepted his offer. When she got home, Margarita eagerly called her mother to show her the beautiful handmade gifts Santa had given. “What beautiful gifts, Mom! Thank you, Santa Claus! Merry Christmas, Mom!” she exclaimed with joy.
